Fechr.com - Does it ring a bell? Probably you will remember Fechr if you’re one of those who made a review of Fechr.com hoping that one day, you’ll get ‘Fechr-ed’ on their website.

Fechr.com had its debut around July of this year. Basically, Fechr.com is a website that features other blogs or website on its homepage. Fechr, pronounced as ‘feature’ made a promise to feature blogs on their homepage who make a review of Fechr. All blogs who made a review of Fechr were included on a list and were scheduled to be featured for 24 hours one after the other.

Because I’m one of those who made a review of Fechr, I visit Fechr daily to check the blog being featured. Over the past two weeks, I’ve noticed that the blog featured has never been changed. Moreover, there were no updates whatsoever to inform everyone about what is happening or what seems to be the problem over there. The way I look at it, Fechr has been abandoned and hasn’t been updated over the past two weeks.

Fechr - The Broken Promise

To date, a lot of reviews have been done about Fechr.com and all those who took their time to make a review of Fechr were hopeful that one day, they’ll have their turn to be featured at Fechr’s homepage. With the current situation at Fechr, I doubt that they’ll ever have their turns. Personally, I’m no longer expecting to be featured despite the fact that I’m one of the earliest bloggers who gave a review of Fechr.com.

Fechr - The Least Thing They Can Do

It’s been two weeks and there were no notice or explanation about the current status of Fechr. Will Fechr still operate as it has promised? Will it still feature blogs or websites who’ve made a review of Fechr? When will the featured blog be updated? Will Fechr continue its operation or will it just be left unattended… abandoned?

I believe that the least thing Fechr.com can do is explain what’s happening with the website. Give clarifications on Fechr’s current status. I’ve checked Fechr Blog to see if there were notices made but there’s none.

It’s really sad that the number of bloggers who are making a review for Fechr increases everyday. All of these bloggers are hoping to be featured and benefit from the traffic that Fechr could give them. The only problem is, FECHR seems to be incapable of fulfilling it’s promises anymore. =(

Possible Reason Why Fechr Have Failed

When I was first introduced to Fechr.com through a review made by one of my friends, I thought it was such a wonderful and innovative idea to drive more traffic to a blog. In fact, I was persuade that I’ve written a review for Fechr.

The idea of Fechr driving traffic to your blog is simple. All those who visit Fechr will find your blog on their homepage (assuming it’s your blog’s turn to be featured). This could mean extra exposure for you blog and additional traffic. There is a however a problem with Fechr.

Who will visit a blog / website like Fechr that features other blogs? Most certainly, these are the people who have made a review of Fechr.com and are checking whether their blog is being featured. I don’t see the reason to visit Fechr the 2nd time or the 3rd time once your blog has been featured already. Who would do that when you can just type the URL of the blog you wish to visit.
