Another option if you want to monetize your blog is Sponsored Reviews. SponsoredReviews is another great websites that pays you to review blogs, goods, services etc.

Around November 10 after Blogging Mix has been approved by PayPerPost, I’ve submitted my blog at SponsoredReviews.com. The approval process was rather quick as it took them only 3 days before I’ve received their confirmation that Blogging Mix was accepted. So far, I’ve done 4 sponsored post with SponsoredReviews and I was already paid $78 two days ago via PayPal. In contrast, the money I’ve earned from PayPerPost has not yet been paid considering that my paid post was done earlier.

One thing I like about SR is that it does not take Google Page Rank into account. This is a great advantage compared to all other Pay To Post platform.
With the launch of their new affiliate program, I can sense that there will be a huge surge in advertisers and publishers volume since PayPerPost is now entangled with Google over the Page Rank issue.

ok. that is one great thing to know about SR.
It took like 2 weeks for my blog to get approved by PPP but a few hours only from SR.
Rocky, why you no longer use Haloscan?
By Blogging Mix on Nov 26, 2007 | Reply
@Jaklang,
I’ve removed Haloscan because it makes my blog download slow. Anyway, I’ll be moving to Wordpress pretty soon so I wouldn’t need it. Cheers.

Hi Goonie:
I’m glad you’ve joined SponsoredReviews, I’m sure you’ll find their service useful like I did.
Here are a few tips to improve the acceptance rate of advertisers to your offer.
First of all, you should look for advertisements that are related to your blog topic. Do not offer to review products that are not related to your blog topic as this will only increase your rejected bids. If you look at the products I’ve reviewed, all of them are related to my topic (Blogs, Bloggers and Blogging).
Secondly, you should offer a competitive price. Do not over price as this usually discourages advertisers. So far, the highest price I’ve charged is $50.
Thirdly, work on improving your blog. I’ve visited your blog and here are some things I’ve noticed.
a) From your writing, I can infer that english is probably your second language but since you are using it on your blog, make sure that you minimize spelling mistakes and work on improving your grammar. Although native english writers do commit mistakes and definitely no one is excused from commiting mistakes, this shouldn’t be an excused.
b) Work on improving your blog traffic.
c) Improve your rankings (Technorati, Alexa and Google Page Rank) You can find tips and information about improving your ranking here at Blogging Mix. Feel free to navigate through my pages.
That would be all. Good luck!
