Blogging Mix Sold and Some Words from the New Author

New Project, But I’ll Still Be Here!
My Review Site, which is my first big project online, is almost done. My programmer is doing the final touches before I could officially launch it anytime this month. This project is the reason why I wasn’t able to update Blogging Mix as usual. Now that the project is nearly done, I thought I could resume regular posting here at Blogging Mix. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Over the next three months, I will be doing extensive advertisement and promotion of my review site, which will require a huge amount of my time. Because regular updates are essential in a blog, I was worried that I might not have enough time to update BloggingMix. This could have an adverse effect on Blogging Mix’s search engine traffic, rankings and subscribers.
Considering all the circumstances, I decided to sell Blogging Mix. I thought I will not come to this point but I was left with no choice. I have already invested a considerable amount of resource in my Review Site so giving it up is not an option. I was also running short on finances to complete the project so selling Blogging Mix can help raise more funds.
After two days of negotiating with Matt from WhyDoWork.com, we were able to close a deal. You can read more in his comments below.
Just to make it clear, I’M STILL GOING TO BE AROUND so this is not intended as a goodbye post! I’m still going to share blogging tips and advices through this blog. And I’m still going to keep you company. I’m just lucky that Matt agreed to keep me as a regular contributor.
To all of you guys, thank you very much for your support! Without you, Blogging Mix is not where it is today. With Matt as the new owner, I’m pretty sure that things will be a lot better.
Hello World
As Rocky mentioned above, we recently acquired this great site. But what do I know about blogging? Well, I’m currently authoring whydowork.com/blog which is my main communication channel to our members at that site. I’m one of the founders of WhyDoWork.com which boasts around 31,000 subscribers who work from home and make money online. My specialty is making money online, which I’ve been doing for the past seven years.
Why Buy a Blog?
I was actually just reading the post Buy Or Start Your Own Blog? which has some interesting commentary on the subject of buying and selling blogs. Blogs did indeed start off as personal web-logs and online diaries of daily life. One of the comments suggested that because of this transformation from “dear diary” to small business they have lost inherent value. I’d disagree and suggest that blogs are more valuable than ever despite some of the fears associated with selling. With such blogs as CashQuests and more recently OneMansGoal there has been quite an uproar regarding the risk vs. reward of buying a blog. While I would agree it is impossible to successfully sell a blog that tracks your daily activities, a blog that covers blogging, design, and monetization tips can definitely change hands with little impact to the content (given the new owner isn’t a total newbie :D)
Changes in Progress
Much of the old content from this blog will be migrated to WhyDoWork.com and redirected to its new home there. I have invited Rocky to guest blog whenever he has something on his mind both here and at WhyDoWork.com/blog once the content has all been migrated. We will be updating the feed address shortly to reflect these changes.
My Promise to You
I am confident that there are many out there interested in learning how to make a living online, and that’s what I teach. I’m not here to replace what Rocky has created. I have my own writing style and thoughts. What I can promise is that I will pass on the money-making and blogging knowledge I’ve accumulated over the last seven years. If that sounds good, stick around and we’ll have some fun.

Hi, Matt.
Happy to see the new owner of Blogging Mix (it’s a great buy, btw…)
What a coincidence, I just wrote about BloggingMix a while ago - and since the ownership changes, I really interested in interviewing you (by e-mail, perhaps?). Should you interested please contact me at my blog.
Cheers and good luck!
